EMDR Professional Training

Josie Juhasz, MA, LPC, has been a psychotherapist for over 30 years, practicing in Vermont, Washington D.C., and currently Bend, Oregon.  She is EMDR certified, an EMDRIA Approved Consultant, and an EMDR Institute and Trauma Recovery/Humanitarian Assistance Program TR/HAP) Facilitator for EMDR Basic Training.  She also conducts workshops on a variety of mental health and social concerns to mental health professionals, universities, colleges, school districts, non-profits, medical professionals, and Departments of Health and Education.

After traveling with an international training team to Uganda where she taught EMDR to mental health practitioners, Josie co-authored a chapter entitled “Learning EMDR in Uganda:  An experiment in cross-cultural collaboration” in Mark Nickerson’s book, Cultural Competence and Healing Culturally Based Trauma with EMDR Therapy (2017).

Josie believes every person has the innate ability to move toward health and healing and the capacity to achieve it.  In her experience, she finds EMDR therapy to be the most effective and comprehensive model for healing.
