EMDR Professional Training

As Co-President of EMDR Professional Training, Michelle Gottlieb, Psy.D., MFT, LPCC, is an experienced clinician with over 30 years of clinical experience.

After years of working in crisis intervention and therapy for families, individuals, and children, Dr. Gottlieb discovered EMDR in 2000.  She soon completed EMDR Certification and began using EMDR therapy within her practice.  The rapid and positive results she saw with her clients created an urgency to go further with EMDR and her own education.

Dr. Gottlieb has facilitated and handled logistics for EMDR HAP/Trauma Recovery with the EMDR Institute, and she is a Part One trainer for EMDR HAP/Trauma Recovery. Dr. Gottlieb is also an international presenter on various aspects of EMDR Therapy, including at the EMDRIA conference.

Dr. Gottlieb’s private practice is in Fullerton, California, where she specializes in complex trauma and chronic pain/illness. She is also in her tenth year as adjunct faculty in the Graduate program for the Department of Psychology at Cal State University, Fullerton.

If anyone is passionate about EMDR Therapy, it is certainly Dr. Gottlieb, and she’s passionate about teaching it to others.  Participants who have been trained by Dr. Gottlieb often comment that she makes complex material easy to understand and apply.  She has a special talent of creating an immensely enjoyable environment for learning.
