Program Abstract/ Program Description
Elevating Couples Therapy with EMDR, Part 2: Advanced Integration and Relational Trauma Repair is a 4-hour advanced course equipping EMDR Therapy clinicians with the tools and techniques to integrate EMDR effectively into complex couples therapy cases, repair relational trauma, and sustain long-term change. Building on foundational EMDR practices, participants will learn specialized interventions like I-Gaze Interweave, Loving Eyes Protocol, and Dyadic Resourcing to foster deeper emotional connection and empathy within couples. These protocols, rooted in Virginia Satir's pioneering work with couples, emphasize the importance of nonverbal attunement and direct emotional engagement. Through practical exercises, case study analysis, and role-playing, therapists will gain confidence in addressing relational dynamics, navigating high-conflict situations, and using EMDR for lasting relational healing.
